HOW TO SEE "HOW TO BE"

It probably seems confusing--what's up with the HOW TO BE screenings?

We've had an incredibly insane, Beatles-esque reaction to How to Be, starring Robert Pattinson. Both screenings are already sold out. You have a lot of questions; here are the answers.

REMEMBER: There is a suggested donation of $8 when you pick up your ticket; you don't HAVE TO pay, and you can pay less than $8 if you want, but keep in mind that your donation will help keep the festival around until next year, and maybe Robert Pattinson will be in another movie then. And you might look like a cheapskate in front of your friends if you don't pay anything.

THE VENUE HOLDS A TOTAL OF 290 SEATS FOR EACH SCREENING. All 290 for the 3:00 screening are already taken. For the 5:15 screening, 215 seats are already taken, and the other 75 seats are being held for CIMMfest Weekend Pass holders. See below on how that will work.

IF YOU RESERVED A TICKET OR TICKETS FOR THE 3:00 SCREENING

Come to the Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington, second floor GAR Hall will-call station, well in advance of the screening. We will have a list of the names of people who reserved tickets. We check off your name, you get in line for seating, and the first people in line get the best seats. If seats are unclaimed at 5 minutes after showtime, we will release them to the public. There will be a 20-minute short film shown before the 3:00 screening.

IF YOU RESERVED A TICKET OR TICKETS FOR THE 5:15 SCREENING

It works mostly the same as the 3:00 screening--if you have a ticket reserved, just come early, tell us your name, get in line, and when the doors open you can take a seat.

CIMMfest WEEKEND PASS HOLDERS (BUY A WEEKEND PASS)

We reserved 75 seats at the 5:15 screening for CIMMfest Weekend Pass holders, which will be available to pass holders on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have a pass, come early, tell us your name and show your pass, get in line with everyone else, and when the door opens you can take a seat. If those seats are not claimed by 5 minutes after showtime, we will open them up to the public.

Buying a pass does not absolutely guarantee a seat, because if more than 75 people have passes, and you're the 76th person with a pass in line, you're out of luck.

MERCHANDISE ALERT

The producers are sending some posters, which we will raffle off, a few at each screening. You can purchase raffle tickets at the will-call desk.

IF YOU RESERVED A TICKET FOR A SCREENING, A SEAT WILL BE HELD FOR YOU AT THAT SCREENING UNTIL 5 MINUTES AFTER THE SHOW STARTS
