Thursday March 4, 7:00pm
St. Paul's Cultural Center, 2215 W. North Ave.
Thursday night is opening night at St. Paul's Cultural Center and we have the world premiere of Lech Kowalski's Camera War in a totally revolutionary film and multi-media experience.
VJ Boris will take footage from Camera War and tear it up, shred it, and garble it; DJ Mimetic will blend it into his aural landscape; together they will release it onto three screens simultaneously to blow minds.
Camera War presents crisis—financial, environmental, personal—as a live cinema and music party. It combines the live music of experimental composer Mimetic, pioneering Swiss video jockey Boris Edelstein, and underground film director Lech Kowalski. Camera War throws out all the rules of movies and music—organic and mutative, it’s a different experience each time it’s presented. You’ll see something that nobody has ever seen before or will ever see again.
Mimetic and local DJs will spin into the night, punctuated by music videos and short films from CIMMfest’s groundbreaking program.
Come dance the night—and the world—away.
Meet Lech Kowalski, VJ Boris, DJ Mimetic, and producer Odile Allard at the show.
Donations are tax-deductible, and they help cover costs that ticket sales don't.
