Festival Director
Ilko Davidov is a documentary filmmaker with an extensive list of credits and awards. After moving to Chicago from Bulgaria in 1990, he graduated Columbia College, and founded BulletProof Film in 1995, where he currently produces, directs, and edits. Music has always been Ilko's inspiration in filmmaking, and after traveling around the world to many festivals with his music related film work, he realized that there is an opening in his home town of Chicago for merging his two passions - film and music, together in one unique showcase. After convincing his like-minded friend, Josh Chicoine that this would be a good idea, they founded the Chicago International Movies and Music festival in 2008.
