MacArthur Genius Grant recipient, Guggenheim fellow, and general musical prophet-eccentric-innovator, Trimpin creates sound sculptures, kinetic experiments, and unique artistic creations using many different media and reaching across disciplinary boundaries. This film shows him collaborating with the Kronos Quartet and putting together a retrospective of his work, as well as building some of his signature creations, in an attempt to explain the workings of one of the most brilliant musical minds of the past few decades.
